Who’s behind L’Atelje Glin’ART ?
My name is Carole. I am French and have lived in Slovenia for 6 years.
It was from Juraj MACO, great master of Slovak folk art, that I learned ceramic techniques during my stay in Bratislava between 2014 and 2018. This transmission, essential in my approach to ceramic creation, was completed through various training workshops, notably at the International Professional Training Center for Ceramic Arts in Nancy (France).
It is in Hoče (near Maribor) that I set up my own workshop. The beauty of the world that surrounds me here, the plants, the animals large and small that populate my garden or the Pohorje forest offer a very inspiring palette for my work. But not only. The popular patterns of wooden stamps for example, or hand-embroidered placemats are also great sources of inspiration.
My work is intended to be a harmonious blend of traditional techniques and experiments. I like to use, explore and deepen techniques as diverse as sgraffito, mishima, prints, drawing, bas-relief… on the wheel or on the plate. My creations are also very varied in their form or their destination: tableware, interior or garden decoration, lighting, roof ornaments, etc.
If I find great joy in creating my own objects, I am just as delighted in working on personalized orders. Do not hesitate to contact me for the creation of original pieces that will meet your needs and desires.
Welcome to this world of craftsmanship where art and functionality merge.
